Limpopo

This week the team travelled up North and experienced the hospitality of TOMSA levy contributing establishments en route including Forever Resorts in Warmbaths and Tshipise, Protea Ranch & Resort, and Tzaneen Country Lodge.

They visited various tourism attractions including the World Heritage Site in Mapungubwe and the Makapansgat Caves. Then they undertook a township tour in Bela Bela – for a touch of local culture. They completed their tour of the Province with a visit to the Big Tree near Tzaneen, the Debengeni Falls and its amazing hiking trails, and a much anticipated walk with lions.

For you to get a bonus entry towards the grand prize (R1 m), all you have to do is take a picture of yourself at any TOMSA Levy Contributing business (car rental, Accommodation, tour operator, attraction & travel agency). The name of the business must appear in the picture for you to qualify for the bonus entry. Visit www.tomsa.co.za to see the list of TOMSA levy contributor businesses across the country.

“Tshipise” means “something warm”, and the famous Tshipise koppie towers protectively over the Resort.  Giant baobabs dot the landscape and the Resort’s self-catering rondavels and comfortable caravan park are barely visible among the Mopani, red bushwillow and jakkalsbessie trees.
Blessed with a year-round sunny climate and hot mineral springs, with Beit Bridge – for travelers en route to and from Zimbabwe – and the Kruger National Park a stone’s throw away, this lush Bushveld retreat enchants jaded city dwellers. Lose yourself in the great outdoors with game viewing on horse-back, bush drives or nature trails, witness ancient rock formations, soak your cares away in the healing waters or catch the big ones at the nearby Njelele Dam.
The Resort offers a six-sleeper guest house, 95 air-conditioned thatched rondavels, and a shady 370 caravan and camping park, all equipped with power points, serviced by seven ablution facilities. The Resort is also within comfortable travelling distance from the Kruger National Park with the Northern Pafuri Gate 105 kilometres away. Tshipise also offers three conference facilities that can accommodate 20 to 300 delegates – all rooms equipped with standard equipment.
