Northern Cape

This week the TOMSA/Sunday Times Finders Keepers team travelled to the Northern Cape where they visited and stayed at two famous TOMSA levy contributor hotels, namely the lovely Protea Hotel by Marriott Upington on the banks of the Orange River, as well as the historically elegant Protea Hotel by Marriott Kimberley, located on the edge of the famous Big Hole.
The team enjoyed a variety of activities, including whitewater rafting on the Orange River, wine tasting at Orange River Cellars and hiking in the Augrabies Falls National Park. The many attractions of the region include Riemvasmaak and its hot springs, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, the mission station at Pella, Kimberley's wonderful museums - including the excellent museum at the Big Hole - and a fascinating road trip to the vineyards and little towns along the Orange River.

For you to get a bonus entry towards the grand prize (R1 m), all you have to do is take a picture of yourself at any TOMSA Levy Contributing business (car rental, Accommodation, tour operator, attraction & travel agency). The name of the business must appear in the picture for you to qualify for the bonus entry. Visit to see the list of TOMSA levy contributor businesses across the country.
